Making Treasuries and Circling Sellers

- Circles Are Important -
I like to keep an eye on the Etsy forums just to keep up with the moan of the week and I have noticed a common theme amongst numerous sellers.

Whenever a new seller asks if faving items, making treasuries and circling other sellers helps to generate sales, most if not all the responses will say something along the lines of:

“It might not help sales but it helps to get your shop known and your items seen” etc.

This is true to an extent, but what people are missing is that sellers are buyers too, particularly at Christmas.

Many Etsy sellers have vowed to buy mostly if not entirely handmade gifts over Christmas and considering that Etsy has over 11 million registered sellers alone, it is well worth putting in the effort during the year to increase your following, as it will help to gain sales over Christmas and probably the odd few at other times too.

And if you need further evidence then look at it this way, Etsy sellers already know how to navigate and use Etsy, they are familiar and most importantly they are comfortable with the processes and layout.

It is much easier for you to attract sales from Etsy sellers than from people outside Etsy who may not have even heard of it.

So the true answer to the question is, yes! Making treasuries, faving items and circling sellers will help you make sales even if the majority of them overwhelm you in December.

  1. OK - you've convinced me - I will start joining circles again. I stopped even looking at my circles because I thought it was useless. Thank you!
